Membership types
Choose the pathway that fits
VESPIIA offers three membership pathways — for individual professionals, organisations, and those working adjacent to the sector.
Professional membership
For individual practitioners

Professional membership is for individuals working within or alongside veterans, emergency services or police industries — whether as a paid staff member, volunteer, academic, student or retiree.

Your membership runs annually from the date it is approved and renews each year on that date.

If you work for an Organisational Member of VESPIIA, you're eligible for a discounted professional membership rate. Check the table for member and non-member pricing.

All fees are in AUD and charged per annum. Membership renews annually on approval date.

Organisational membership
For organisations in the sector

Organisational membership is for organisations that deliver services, programs or support to veterans, emergency services or police communities.

Fees are based on the total number of staff and volunteers in your organisation. All organisational memberships include two appointed Voting Representatives who hold Professional Membership in accordance with the VESPIIA By-Laws.

Organisational members also unlock discounted Professional Membership rates for their staff — making VESPIIA membership an accessible staff benefit across your whole team.

Associate membership
Working adjacent to the sector

Associate membership is designed for individuals and organisations who work alongside the first responder sector without being directly within it — suppliers, consultants, researchers from adjacent fields, and others who want to connect with and contribute to the community.

At $80 per annum, it's an accessible entry point to the VESPIIA network, events and publications.

Frequently asked
When does my membership renew?
Membership runs annually and renews on the date your membership was approved — not on a fixed calendar year. You'll receive a renewal reminder ahead of that date.
How do I know if I qualify for the discounted professional rate?
If your employer is a current VESPIIA Organisational Member, you're eligible for the discounted rate. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll check for you.
Can I join as an individual if my organisation isn't a member?
Yes — Professional Membership is open to any individual working in or alongside the sector, regardless of whether their organisation holds a membership.
What's the difference between Organisational and Associate membership?
Organisational membership is for organisations that are directly involved in delivering support to veterans, emergency services or police communities. Associate membership is for individuals or organisations working adjacent to the sector — suppliers, consultants, or those building their connection to it.
Does membership include conference registration?
Membership includes access to conference and event registration at member rates, which are discounted against standard pricing. Conference registration is purchased separately.
