We joined VESPIIA to be part of a professional community committed to raising standards across the veteran support sector. As AVAC Services transitions into a law firm environment under StandTo Legal, being connected to an institute that values integrity, accountability, and best practice is important to us.
It also provides an opportunity to contribute to ongoing conversations about how we can better support veterans and their families.
Our work focuses on removing barriers for veterans navigating complex systems like DVA claims, compensation, and broader entitlements. Through AVAC Services and now StandTo Legal, we support veterans to understand their rights, access the support they are entitled to, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
The impact is not just financial outcomes — it's reduced stress, improved wellbeing, and ensuring veterans feel heard, supported, and properly represented.
Through StandTo Legal, we now deliver these services within a regulated legal framework, providing veterans with access to formal legal representation across compensation, liability, and related matters. In addition, we offer broader legal support including criminal law, family law, property matters, wills and estates, and traffic law. This ensures greater accountability, transparency, and protection, while allowing us to offer end-to-end support — from initial claims guidance through to full legal advice and representation when needed.
A key priority for the sector is improving transparency, regulation, and collaboration across advocacy and legal services. Many veterans are still navigating fragmented systems or receiving inconsistent advice.
There is a strong opportunity to create more integrated pathways between advocacy, legal support, and wellbeing services — ensuring veterans receive holistic, ethical, and coordinated care from start to finish.
A major milestone for us has been the transition of AVAC Services into a legal framework through StandTo Legal. This allows us to deliver services under formal legal regulation, increasing accountability and protection for our clients while maintaining the same veteran-focused approach.
Alongside this, we've continued to expand our presence across Queensland through community engagement, partnerships, and events, strengthening connections within the veteran and ESO network.
Veterans don't just need services — they need clarity and trust. The most effective support comes from taking the time to explain options, set realistic expectations, and work collaboratively across the sector. When we focus on transparency and genuinely putting the veteran first, better outcomes naturally follow.
