Future Frontlines: Papers for Australian Heroes’ Well-being is a series dedicated to advancing the well-being and resilience of our nation’s veterans and first responders. In these papers, we explore cutting-edge research and innovative strategies designed to address the unique challenges faced by those who have served and continue to serve on the frontlines. Our mission is to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and advocacy to ensure that the heroes who protect our communities receive the support and care they deserve. We are committed to fostering a culture of understanding and empowerment, helping our heroes thrive beyond their courageous service to our nation.
 
Submission Process:
We invite researchers, practitioners, and professionals to contribute abstracts that align with the mission of Future Frontlines. Submissions should focus on innovative practices, research findings, or policy analyses that address the well-being and resilience of veterans, emergency services personnel, police, and their families.
 
Content Areas: 
Submissions should pertain to one or more of the following six content areas:
  1. Mental Health and Well-being: Exploring strategies to support the psychological health of service personnel and their families.
  2. Transition and Reintegration: Addressing challenges and solutions related to moving from service roles to civilian life.
  3. Family Support and Dynamics: Investigating the role of family in the well-being of service members and the impact of service on family life.
  4. Organisational Culture and Leadership: Examining how workplace environments and leadership styles affect the health and performance of frontline personnel.
  5. Policy and Advocacy: Analysing existing policies and proposing reforms to enhance support systems for service members.
  6. Community Engagement and Support: Studying the influence of community initiatives on the well-being of service personnel and their families.
 
Submission Guidelines:
  1. Abstract Length: 250–300 words.
  2. Content: Provide a concise summary of the topic, objectives, key points, and any significant findings or contributions your paper intends to make.
  3. Biographical Summary: A brief bio (up to 100 words) highlighting your relevant experience and expertise.
  4. Disclosure: Indicate any conflicts of interest.

Review Process:
All submissions will undergo a peer-review process to ensure relevance and quality. The VESPIIA team will contact the authors of selected abstracts and invite them to submit full papers.
